How did it all start?

This case study primarily aims to present the process that eBut.pl underwent to achieve its goals. It all began in May 2022 when we undertook this extensive and complex project. Therefore, we divided the scope of work into two main phases: the first lasting 3 months and the second 4.5 months. We completed the eBut.pl project in December 2022, although we certainly didn't leave our client without support. For the following months, we provided maintenance, post-implementation support, and project development services to ensure the final result was the best possible.

Technology stack

When building the eBut.pl platform, we utilized a variety of technologies that enabled us to achieve success in the final stage – implementing a fully compatible, cohesive, and functional system that users currently rely on. The key technologies used in the project include:

Package Manager – Vite
Vite is an essential tool in modern web development. Its main advantage is its incredibly fast performance, thanks to the use of ES Modules and a development server based on native browser support. Vite offers lightning-fast page refreshes (HMR), which significantly improves the efficiency of working on projects. Although Webpack (an alternative to Vite) still dominates in more complex environments, Vite is gaining recognition due to its simple configuration and speed, making it an ideal choice for new projects.

Front-End Framework – Vue 3.x
Vue 3.x is the latest version of the popular front-end framework, known for its simplicity, performance, and flexibility. With the introduction of the Composition API, Vue 3 allows developers to create more organized and scalable components, which in turn makes managing larger projects easier. The improved performance, resulting from rewriting the framework's core in TypeScript, makes Vue 3 fast and lightweight. Additionally, newly introduced features like Teleports, Fragments, and Suspense offer greater control over application rendering.

UI Framework – Vuetify 3.x

CSS Pre-processor – Sass
Sass, or Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets, is a popular CSS pre-processor that extends the capabilities of standard CSS, allowing for the creation of more organized and complex styles in an easy and efficient manner. Thanks to features like variables, nesting, mixins, and inheritance, Sass enables writing more modular and reusable CSS code. Additionally, Sass automatically compiles the code into standard CSS, making it fully compatible with browsers.
